3 ways to maximise your engagement ring budget 💍
1) Clarity, the clarity has a huge impact on the price of a diamond, but did you know you don’t need to choose a flawless diamond for it to look beautifully clean and flawless to your eye?
Any diamond given an SI grade will have small inclusions and blemishes inside the diamond but NOT that you’ll be able to notice with your naked eye!
Graders use magnification and very specific controlled lab conditions when grading the clarity of a diamond, so once your remove these conditions and look at the diamond with your eye it will look perfect 💎
2) Elongated diamonds, diamond cuts such as emerald cuts, ovals, radiants and even marquise cuts offer a larger surface area due to the length of the shape.
This means that an elongated shape can look bigger on your hand than other shapes for the same carat weight and therefore not break the budget 💍
3) Excellent Cut, this is so important to ensure the maximum brilliance and sparkle from your diamond. It’s the cut that directly affects the sparkle! ✨
Round diamonds have three cut grades – proportions, symmetry, and polish; whereas all other shapes have two – just the symmetry and polish.
But it’s these cut grades that are so important to how the diamond interacts with the light and returns light to your eye which we see as sparkle and brilliance ✨
